At the security line

Casino New Brunswick concert carry rules

Security at the Molson Canadian Centre turns away several everyday items, from backpacks to cameras. This page lists them, along with where a winter coat can go when the hall has no coat check of its own.

Items refused at entry

  • Bags and backpacks

  • Cameras, drones, recorders

  • Outside food and drink, water too

Bags and backpacks are not allowed into shows at the Molson Canadian Centre. The same rule covers cameras, drones and recording devices. Anything on that list belongs in the car or at home before the walk to the hall. Guests may leave and come back in, but a trip back to the lot still means another wait in the entry line.

Outside food and drink stay out too, and water is no exception. Inside, limited concessions are sold, and water is available at the bars. A sealed bottle from the car does not get past this rule either.

Signs, banners and artist rules

Each artist sets the rules for signs and banners at a show. Those rules can change up to the day of the show, so a sign that passed at one concert may not pass at the next. There is no single house size that applies to every show. A sign over the limit is sent to the box office, where it is held or thrown away.

Winter coats

The Molson Canadian Centre has no coat check of its own. Coats can go to the casino's coat check when it has room, and Rewards Club members use it at no charge. Membership in the club is free at Guest Services in the casino.

As general advice, whatever is not needed inside the hall is simpler left in the car. On a cold night that may include a heavy coat, because room at the casino coat check is not promised.

Items left behind

Guests collect items left in the hall at the box office after the show. Later on, the place to ask is security. A scarf or glove missed on the way to the lot can be asked about at the box office before leaving the site.

Questions from the lobby

Does the bag rule cover a purse?

The rule says bags and backpacks are not allowed into shows. No size exception is published, so plan to leave a purse in the car.

Can a refillable water bottle come in?

Outside food and drink are not allowed, and that includes water. Water is sold at the bars inside the hall.

Where does a winter coat go during a show?

The hall has no coat check. The casino's coat check takes coats when it has room, at no charge for Rewards Club members.

What happens with a phone at the door?

The phone is the ticket: Mobile Entry uses it, and the venue suggests saving tickets to it before the event. Recording devices are not allowed.
